Wedge heels are set to be huge this season in the form of platforms, sandals and courts, so basically, you can’t away from them! Wedge heels were one of the most colourful looks on the catwalk this season with heels getting even bigger and more inventive. Trendy and fabulously functional, this season’s wedge shoes have sent our style sense into a frenzy.

A wedge shoe works wonders for the foot: your arch pops forward in a sexy bend, the shrunken sole gives your foot an adorably tiny look, and your whole body thanks you for finally wearing functional footwear.

Valentino had some of the most extravagant styles with neon pink and yellow paired together with bows and large cut out wedges creating a space age look. At Calvin Klein and Marni things were a little simpler and although some of the shapes were futuristic and modern they were kept clean and simple.

Infusing the classic cork wedge with sexy class, Kenneth Cole Reaction’s wedge is designed to have you strutting down the boardwalk in sophisticated style. The braided upper creates an alluring line from your toes to your arch, with the thin ultra-femme ankle strap finishing off the sleek silhouette. This high-style sandal, adorned with a covered wedge in patterned leather, doesn’t shy away from comfort: a padded insole provides lasting comfort while the textured rubber outsole keeps you up on two feet.

The accessory master, Marc Jacobs, has whipped up several fantastically innovative wedge styles. His designs appeal to your inner architect, combining two of the season’s hottest styles - wrapping and wedges. Designers also pushed the height of their wedges to the extreme and it was definitely a case of the bigger the better.
