Keisha Whitaker and Florence Azria Last August, Florence (The Shoe Goddess Network) and her husband Serge Azria hosted a private charity benefit for Mothers Against Gang Violence at their Beverly Hills home. The MAGV benefits programs such as A Placed Called Home, and many other organizations that give at-risk youth a place to learn to lead productive lives. The evening celebrated prominent members of the community including Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villarigosa, Forest & Keisha Whittaker, Max & Lubov Azria. Jewelry designer Monique Pean created a one of kind MAGV signature bracelet featured in a silent auction during the evening. If you haven’t already book marked it, The Shoegoddess blog is a highly addictive “must-read” for shoe devotees. The driving force behind it the fabulously stylish Florence Azria, a Parisian-born shoe lover who currently makes her home in Beverly Hills. You can’t help but notice her. With glowing skin and sparkling eyes, Florence is all about making an impression. Given her natural charm and charisma, this woman can do no wrong. This is a woman who’s defined by her eye, by the sheer ability to define stylish elements. An aficionado of beautiful things in general, Florence is serious about her taste. She’s drawn to elegant design, as seen in Dior, Gucci and Chanel. Impervious to trends and passing fancy, she’s a veteran of archetypal classic modernist style. With her striking features and perennially gorgeous heels, she personifies panache. She owns her convictions, she’s thought through every last one. She teaches cooking and has opened a forum for women eager to express themselves and find support in keeping their children out of gangs. All proceeds from The Shoegoddess blog goes to A Place Called Home. Now isn’t that a cause worthy of new Gucci pumps? Keisha-Whittaker_081308_096.jpg

I love when people use their gifts and talents to back up an amazing cause. Kudos to both of them.
