White After Labor Day Never Looked So Good…

Jessica Biel, while often on our style radar, has yet to reach any interesting mileage with her film career. Most likely to her chagrin, she’s still 7th Heaven’s angsty darling to us. But Justin Timberlake’s other half showed up in Toronto this week to promote her new film Easy Virtue, and took her TIFF presence seriously. If we were starring in a film with Colin Firth and Ben Barnes (girls can dream, can they not?), we’d be pulling out all the stops too. She broke the no-white-after-Labor-Day rule spectacularly with her one-shouldered Giambattista Valli dress, and kept things interesting with a shot of intense color in her peep-toes. You can do no wrong in red Louboutins. We may even forgive you for attempting a British accent in the presence of Mr. Darcy. So don’t pack away your white frocks just yet. Throw on a statement shoe and dazzle on the red carpet. And if you’re into wardrobe efficiency, the dress could always pull double-duty for an impromptu walk down the aisle with a former boy-bander.
